Drew Walkup is an American film director, producer, and screenwriter from Santa Cruz, California. He completed his studies at the University of Southern California’s School of Cinematic Arts and got his first job as a production assistant on Breaking Bad, where the staff quickly recognized his skill and elevated him to editor, working alongside producer John Shiban and Emmy award-winning editor Lynne Willingham for the series’ "Minisodes." As Vice President, Programming at The Walt Disney Company, Drew led creative on massive branded entertainment campaigns for world-class properties such as Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy and Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
In 2016, Drew launched REBL HQ, a digital entertainment studio built to "give a voice to the voiceless." There, he produced branded entertainment series for Disney, Universal, and government projects for the U.S. Navy and U.S. Air Force. In 2018, he directed his debut feature film, Endangered (f/k/a Fox Hunt Drive), which premiered at Cinequest Film Festival and earned a 100% fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
Following up from their work on Endangered, Drew is teaming up again with writers Adam Armstrong and Marcus DeVivo for their next feature film project Sundown at Solstice Canyon.
